Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC® BCBSNC’s Classic Blue Comprehensive Major Medical (CMM) plan provides traditional coverage with flexibility in provider choice. Under Classic Blue, members pay a deductible and coinsurance. Participating providers receive payment directly from BCBSNC, so there are no claims to file. Plan participants who visit a non-participating provider are responsible for reimbursing the provider and it may be necessary to file a claims form. Members are covered for routine physical exams, well-baby and well-child visits, immunizations, gynecological exams and Pap smears, as well as breast and prostate cancer screenings. Access to a large network of pharmacies is available If the plan includes prescription coverage.
